My Aunt Rose used to make Chinese Pie and it was my absolute favorite meal as a kid. I grew up in Little Canada with her but never realized it was such a French Canadian tradition. I just thought it was my Aunt Rose. Great to know. Also loved the tidbit about the wild turkeys in the area being direct ancestors of that little tribe relocated from the Adirondacks.
